The 2005 conference on "Managing Spreadsheets in the light of Sarbanes-Oxley" programme  concentrated on all aspects of the management of spreadsheets including:

- assessing current spreadsheet use
- risk and other classification systems
- proving effectiveness
- available controls techniques
- planning which kind of techniques fit which risks
- maintaining integrity and compliance

The conference featured 18 original papers from both new and established researchers within the academic and practitioner communities that present material related to the conference themes. A meeting was held following the EuSpRIG AGM to which all those specifically interested in Exploring Opportunities for Research Collaboration were invited.
